not because rivers are evil.

Creation is God’s work,
beautiful but groaning.
The world-system is rebellion,
fallen hearts enthroning.

Money becomes altar.
Body becomes idol.
Status becomes priest.
Pleasure reads the Bible.

Fame becomes heaven.
Tech becomes saviour.
Algorithms become shepherds
training human behaviour.

But no app can cleanse you.
No brand can make you whole.
No platform can resurrect
a dead human soul.

Idols have changed clothing,
but they still cannot speak.
They promise power,
but they make the spirit weak.

Wood, stone, gold, screen,
same hunger, same lie.
Worship the creature,
then wonder why hearts die.

Jesus did not negotiate
with the kingdom of death.
He entered our realm
and took human breath.

He cast out demons,
strongholds started shaking.
He healed the sick,
curse-code started breaking.

He touched the leper,
uncleanness lost claim.
He raised the dead,
graveyards heard His Name.

Then at the Cross,
the powers thought they won.
But wisdom of God
was hidden in the Son.

Colossians says
He disarmed the powers.
Triumphed over them
through the Cross in that hour.

more than you trust the King.

more than blood that sings.

Don’t fear spirits
more than Christ who rose.
Don’t fear systems
more than the One who knows.

The Son sets free,
