NYIKA YAKATUKWA

Mbira dziridze.
Marimba dzimuke.
Guitar chema.
Choir pindurai.

This world is beautiful,
but it is not normal.

God made it good,
but sin broke the ground.

Nyika yakatukwa.
But God did not abandon it.

Jesu Kristu came down
to reverse the curse.

[HOOK]

Nyika yakatukwa,
but God did not leave us.
Thorns in the ground,
death in the bloodstream.

Sweat on the forehead,
pain in the birth room.
Graves in the garden,
fear in the system.

But Jesus came down,
Akauya kuzoponesa.
Cross in the curse,
blood in the dust.

Nyika yakatukwa,
but Christ is reversing it.
Rufu rwakapinda,
but Jesus is killing it.

[VERSE 1]

In the beginning,
Mwari akati, “Zvakanaka.”
Light had a song,
rivers had laughter.

Trees in the garden,
fruit in the blessing.
Man walked with God,
no shame, no hiding.

No coffin in Eden,
no hospital crying.
No graveyard dust,
no widow asking why.

No fear in the blood,
no curse in the soil.
No thorns in the field,
no death in the body.

Then the serpent came speaking,
“Did God really say?”
Same old voice in new apps,
same lie every day.

“Take what you want,
be god for yourself.”
The fruit looked good,
but it opened up death.

Munhu akadya,
moyo ukavhurika murima.
Eyes opened to shame,
hands sewing leaves.

Adam heard God,
then ran through the trees.
Creation heard footsteps,
but something had changed.

[PRE-HOOK]

Mashizha haana kuvhara shame.
Excuses did not cleanse the blame.
Sin was not a small mistake.
The whole earth started to ache.

[HOOK]

Nyika yakatukwa,
but God did not leave us.
Thorns in the ground,
death in the bloodstream.

Sweat on the forehead,
pain in the birth room.
Graves in the garden,
fear in the system.

But Jesus came down,
Akauya kuzoponesa.
Cross in the curse,
blood in the dust.

Nyika yakatukwa,
but Christ is reversing it.
Rufu rwakapinda,
but Jesus is killing it.

[VERSE 2]

God spoke judgement,
not because He is cruel.
Justice is holy,
sin is not small.

The ground got cursed,
thorns started preaching.
Work became sweat,
life became grieving.

Pain in the womb,
conflict in love.
Dust became destiny,
grave opened up.

“From dust you came,
to dust you return.”
Every funeral since then
is Eden’s echo burned.

That’s why life is hard,
not just bad luck.
The curse is in the code,
fallen world stuck.

Romans says creation
is groaning in pain.
Waiting for freedom,
waiting to be changed.

1 John says this world
is passing away.
Lust of the eyes,
pride of life fades.

So don’t be shocked
when the world feels broken.
This is not heaven,
this is exile smoking.

[PRE-HOOK 2]

The hardship is not a glitch.
The tears are not random.
Death is not natural.
Sin made creation captive.

Asi Mwari ane mercy.
Akavimbisa Seed.
A Son would come
to crush serpent teeth.

[HOOK]

Nyika yakatukwa,
but God did not leave us.
Thorns in the ground,
death in the bloodstream.

Sweat on the forehead,
pain in the birth room.
Graves in the garden,
fear in the system.

But Jesus came down,
Akauya kuzoponesa.
Cross in the curse,
blood in the dust.

Nyika yakatukwa,
but Christ is reversing it.
Rufu rwakapinda,
but Jesus is killing it.

[VERSE 3]

Then Jesus came walking
into cursed creation.
Not as a tourist,
but as salvation.

Born under law,
born into pain.
Crying as a baby,
breathing our air.

He touched the leper,
curse started shaking.
Opened blind eyes,
new creation waking.

He raised the dead,
funeral got interrupted.
Demons screamed loud,
dark kingdom disrupted.

He calmed the storm,
wind heard its Maker.
Fed the crowds bread,
curse met the Saviour.

But healing was sign,
not the full destination.
The root was sin,
death, condemnation.

So He took thorns
on His own head.
Carried the tree
where sinners should bleed.

The curse had a Cross.
The Cross had blood.
The blood had mercy.
Mercy found us.

[BRIDGE]

Cursed is everyone
hung on a tree.
So Christ took the curse
for you and me.

Akafa paMuchinjikwa,
blood in the dust.
Akavigwa muguva,
death thought it won.

But third day morning,
stone rolled away.
Muviri wakamuka,
new creation day.

Death lost the keys.
Serpent lost claim.
The grave heard Jesus
and bowed to His Name.

[FINAL VERSE]

So stop pretending
this world can save you.
It sells you comfort,
then still graves you.

Money will fade,
body will weaken.
Hustle will tire,
pleasure will sicken.

Everything gained
outside atonement
turns into dust
at your final moment.

But Christ offers life,
not temporary relief.
He reverses the curse
from the root underneath.

Repent from sin.
Tendeuka nhasi.
Believe the Son.
Gamuchira Jesu.

The world is cursed,
but the Lamb is alive.
The grave is open,
new creation will rise.

[FINAL HOOK]

Nyika yakatukwa,
but God did not leave us.
Thorns in the ground,
death in the bloodstream.

Sweat on the forehead,
pain in the birth room.
Graves in the garden,
fear in the system.

But Jesus came down,
Akauya kuzoponesa.
Cross in the curse,
blood in the dust.

Nyika yakatukwa,
but Christ is reversing it.
Rufu rwakapinda,
but Jesus is killing it.

[OUTRO]

From garden lost
to empty tomb.
From thorns and sweat
to glory soon.

No more curse is coming.
No more death is coming.
But today you must choose.

Tendeuka.
Tenda.
Gamuchira Jesu Kristu.

THE NAZARENE.
