Songs
SAME FEAST, SAME FIRE

[INTRO]
Seven weeks, forty-nine,
God was keeping holy time.
Then the fiftieth day came bright,
full of fire, full of light.
Shavuot, that means Weeks.
Pentecost means Fiftieth.
Same feast, same fire,
same holy God.
[VERSE 1]
Long ago at Sinai’s hill,
God came down so bright and still.
Thunder rolled and trumpets blew,
God gave words so good and true.
Fire on the mountain high,
clouds of glory in the sky.
God was teaching, “Come My way,
walk with Me and trust My Name.”
The Word came down on stone that day,
showing people how to stay
close to God in truth and light,
loving Him with all their might.
[HOOK]
Same feast, same fire,
same God forever.
Same holy promise,
same love forever.
Sinai had fire,
Pentecost too.
God kept His promise,
His Word is true.
Stone to heart,
light to flame,
Jesus Christ,
the sweetest Name.
[VERSE 2]
Many years went rolling by,
kingdoms rose and kingdoms died.
But the feast came back each year,
and God’s timing stayed so clear.
Then in Jerusalem one day,
Jesus’ friends had come to pray.
It was not a random time,
God had planned it all in line.
Shavuot had come again,
same feast as way back there and then.
Then the Spirit came like fire,
lifting hearts and taking them higher.
Wind came rushing through the room,
fear and sadness lost their gloom.
Tongues of fire, bright and free,
God was there for all to see.
[HOOK]
Same feast, same fire,
same God forever.
Same holy promise,
same love forever.
Sinai had fire,
Pentecost too.
God kept His promise,
His Word is true.
Stone to heart,
light to flame,
Jesus Christ,
the sweetest Name.
[VERSE 3]
At Sinai God gave words on stone,
at Pentecost hearts became home.
Not just rules to hear outside,
but God’s love living deep inside.
Jesus came and made a way,
died for us and rose one day.
Then He sent His Spirit near,
so we never need to fear.
Now our hearts can shine so bright,
full of Jesus, full of light.
Like a temple, like a flame,
glowing in His holy Name.
[BRIDGE]
Shavuot means Weeks,
count them one by one.
Pentecost means Fiftieth,
when the Spirit came.
Same feast, same fire,
that’s the sign to see.
God was showing long ago
what He planned would be.
[CHILDREN’S TAG]
God keeps time.
God keeps promises.
God keeps loving us.
Jesus sends the fire.
[FINAL HOOK]
Same feast, same fire,
same God forever.
Same holy promise,
same love forever.
Sinai had fire,
Pentecost too.
God kept His promise,
His Word is true.
Stone to heart,
light to flame,
Jesus Christ,
the sweetest Name.
[OUTRO]
Seven weeks, forty-nine,
God was keeping holy time.
Then the fiftieth day came bright,
full of fire, full of light.
Same feast.
Same fire.
Same God.
Same love.
