Old Egypt, hot sun, brick on brick,
People tired, hands worn thick.
Taskmasters shouting, backs bent low,
Children asking, “Will freedom show?”

Pharaoh had crowns, Pharaoh had gold,
Pharaoh said, “Mine,” with a heart gone cold.
God heard cries from the mud and pain,
Called Moses out by the burning flame.

“Take off your shoes, this ground is Mine,
I have seen My people, I know their cries.
Go to the throne, let the empire know,
Tell that proud king: Let My people go.”

Now fast-forward, same old scene,
Different chains on a glowing screen.
Children online with the blue-light face,
Minds running laps in the algorithm race.

Scroll more, buy more, perform, compare,
Digital Pharaoh wants your stare.
Brick by brick, click by click,
Little hearts tired but the feed moves quick.

Pharaoh said, “Work, don’t rest,”
Babylon says, “Post your best.”
Pharaoh said, “Build my name,”
The feed says, “Chase your fame.”

Pharaoh used straw, Pharaoh used stone,
Screens use likes to build a throne.
Pharaoh made labour hard to bear,
Apps make silence feel like scare.

Old chains clanged in the desert heat,
New chains glow when the night won’t sleep.
Old slaves cried by the river side,
New kids cry where their phones hide.

But God is not blind to the modern cage,
He sees every child in the scrolling age.
He sees the boy with the gaming rage,
He sees the girl with the filtered face.

He sees the child in a war-torn street,
He sees the refugee with tired feet.
He sees the poor where the sirens roar,
He sees the lonely behind closed doors.

And Christ walks in with a shepherd’s glow,
Not to shame, but to lead us home.
He speaks through noise, through fear, through code:
“Little child, let My people go.”

Moses stood with a staff in hand,
Truth before the strongest man.

Just God’s Word making idols bow down.

Plagues came crashing, powers shook,
False gods trembled when the true God looked.
River turned red, skies went black,
Egypt learned Heaven answers back.

Digital idols shake the same,
When children call on Jesus’ name.
Fame god falls, fear god cracks,
Pride god glitches, shame falls back.

Attention idols lose their crown,
When living water starts pouring down.
Algorithm towers lose control,
When Christ takes hold of a child’s soul.

Passover night, lamb blood bright,
Mercy marked doors in the midnight fright.
Death passed over, captives rose,
Freedom started when the blood was shown.

Now see the shadow, see the Flame,
Jesus the Lamb takes away our shame.
Not just Egypt, not just then,
The cross breaks chains again and again.

The sea looked locked.

Gen Alpha child, when your mind feels trapped,
When anxiety hits and your thoughts get snapped,
When group chats burn and the comments sting,
When the screen keeps acting like a king,

Remember the sea can split for grace,

Remember the Shepherd is in control.

Not anti-phone, this is holy truth,
Wisdom for the digital youth.
Tools can serve, games can play,
But no false Pharaoh gets your day.
