SCROLL CITY KIDS

THE NAZARENE

Digital Babylon / Cyber Gospel for Gen Alpha

INTRO - SPOKEN VOCAL

Some of you were born with screens already glowing.

Tablets before trainers.

Wi-Fi before wisdom.

Avatars before answers.

But Jesus still knows your real name.

Not your username.

Not your gamer tag.

Your name.

CHOIR INTRO

Scroll city kids, look up, look up,

Mercy still fills the empty cup.

Blue light fades, but Christ still shines,

Jesus restores the tired mind.

RAP VERSE 1

Gen Alpha child with the tablet bright,

Cartoon clips running from morning to night.

Roblox worlds and the Fortnite drops,

Short-form loops that never stop.

Skibidi jokes in the lunchroom air,

Everybody laughing but stress still there.

Geometry Dash with the neon flash,

Brain going fast like a digital crash.

YouTube Shorts and TikTok streams,

Everybody living inside little screens.

Meme on meme, sound on sound,

But quiet feels strange when no noise around.

Notifications tapping like rain on glass,

One more video, then an hour gone past.

Parents say, “Come eat,” but the thumbs still glide,

Whole little universe glowing inside.

But outside, the sky got clouds and birds,

Rain got rhythm, trees got words.

Creation still sings when the phone goes dim,

Every green leaf points back to Him.

Jesus ain’t scared of your digital day,

He walks through the feed in a holy way.

Not to shout, not to shame, not to make you hide,

But to call your real heart back alive.

SUNG HOOK

Scroll city kids, don’t lose your soul,

Jesus is peace when the screens take hold.

Look up, breathe deep, grace begins,

Christ can calm the noise within.

Scroll city kids, you are known,

More than your likes, more than your phone.

When the feed gets loud and the night feels cold,

The Good Shepherd calls you home.

CHOIR RESPONSE

Look up, child, the sky is wide,

Christ is walking by your side.

Log out, breathe in, mercy flows,

Jesus sees what no one knows.

RAP VERSE 2

Digital Babylon builds bright towers,

Feeds little minds for hours and hours.

“Buy this skin, get this pack,

Watch one more, keep coming back.”

It says, “Be funny, be viral, be seen,

Keep your whole life on a glowing screen.”

It says, “Compare, compete, perform,

Follow the crowd, obey the storm.”

But Jesus says, “Come, child, rest,

You don’t need clout to be blessed.

You don’t need filters to make you shine,

You were loved before online.”

Some kids feel small when the comments bite,

Some can’t sleep in the blue-lit night.

Some see lives that look so clean,

Then feel less worthy behind the screen.

Some boys rage in the gaming chat,

Don’t know what hurt is hiding under that.

Some girls edit every little thing,

Forgot they’re made in the image of the King.

But the Gospel breaks that fake ID,

You are not what the feed decrees.

Not your streak, not your score, not your view count,

Christ knows what your soul is about.

He blessed the children when adults said no,

Put them close where His love could show.

So if the world makes you feel unseen,

Jesus still calls you into green pastures and peace.

SUNG PRE-HOOK

Lord, teach my hands

when to pause, when to play.

Teach my young heart

how to pray through the day.

Help me use screens

but not bow to their glow.

Jesus, my Shepherd,

show me where to go.

SUNG HOOK

Scroll city kids, don’t lose your soul,

Jesus is peace when the screens take hold.

Look up, breathe deep, grace begins,

Christ can calm the noise within.

Scroll city kids, you are known,

More than your likes, more than your phone.

When the feed gets loud and the night feels cold,

The Good Shepherd calls you home.

RAP VERSE 3

This ain’t anti-game, this is pro-heart,

Christ at the centre, wisdom from the start.

Games can be fun, screens can be tools,

But don’t let apps start making your rules.

Go kick ball, go draw, go read,

Help your nan, plant one seed.

Laugh with friends where the real sun glows,

Let your mind breathe where the fresh wind blows.

Pray when your head feels full of sparks,

Sing when the room feels cold and dark.

Tell someone safe when your heart feels heavy,

You don’t have to act like you’re always ready.

Jesus sees the child behind the jokes,

The one who laughs but nearly chokes.

The one who hides in the online noise,

The quiet girl, the angry boys.

He came with truth and He came with grace,

Not another advert in your face.

Not another trend for a week then gone,

He is the Light when the lights turn on.

Digital Babylon won’t last forever,

Christ holds time and holds us together.

When every server sleeps in dust,

The risen King is still our trust.

BRIDGE - RAP / CHOIR CALL AND RESPONSE

RAP: When the screen says “never enough,”

CHOIR: Jesus says, “Child, you are loved.”

RAP: When the feed says “chase that fame,”

CHOIR: Jesus calls you by your name.

RAP: When the game says “rage and fight,”

CHOIR: Christ brings peace into the night.

RAP: When the world says “scroll till numb,”

CHOIR: Living water still will come.

RAP: When the chat gets cruel and cold,

CHOIR: Jesus keeps your heart and soul.

RAP: When the likes go up then fall,

CHOIR: Christ remains above it all.

FINAL RAP

So scroll city kids, don’t disappear,

Your Father in Heaven still draws near.

The Shepherd can find you in any street,

Even where the neon and algorithms meet.

You are not data, you are not dust,

You are not built for empty trust.

You are not content for the empire stream,

You are God’s child with a holy dream.

Let the phone be tool, not throne,

Let the Lord make your heart His home.

Let the games be fun, not chains,

Let the Spirit wash your restless brain.

When the digital city starts glowing loud,

Look for the cross above the cloud.

When the whole world says, “Stay in the spin,”

Hear Jesus whisper, “Peace within.”

FINAL SUNG HOOK

Scroll city kids, lift up your eyes,

Mercy is breaking through neon skies.

Screens may glow, but Christ is brighter,

Heavy hearts can become lighter.

Scroll city kids, you are known,

Never forgotten, never alone.

When the feed gets loud and the night feels cold,

The Good Shepherd carries you home.

OUTRO - CHILDREN’S CHOIR

Scroll city kids, look up, look up,

Mercy still fills the empty cup.

Blue light fades, but Christ still shines,

Jesus restores the tired mind.
