[INTRO]

Ezekiel was not preaching from comfort.

He was in exile.
Far from Jerusalem.
Far from the temple.
By the river Chebar.

Then the heavens opened.

Wheels.
Fire.
Living creatures.
Glory.

God was not trapped in the temple.

God found His people in exile.

[VERSE 1]

Ezekiel sat where the captives cried,
Babylon’s river running beside.
Jerusalem distant, temple far,
grief in the dust under foreign stars.

He was a priest with no temple near,
a watchman called in a land of fear.
Then the sky split wide with a holy blaze,
visions of glory in exile days.

Wheels within wheels, lightning bright,
living creatures full of sight.
Above them all, a throne like flame,
and Ezekiel fell at the holy Name.

Gen Alpha, listen, when your world feels strange,
when home feels broken and seasons change,
God is not lost when systems shake,
His glory moves where hearts awake.

You may feel far from holy ground,
but Heaven can open where tears are found.
God sees the children displaced and sore,
warzone streets and the refugee door.

[HOOK]

Dry bones rise, hear the Word of the Lord,
hope is not dead when God speaks forward.
Breath of the Spirit, come alive,
what looked buried can still arise.

New heart, new spirit, stone made flesh,
God brings life where dreams looked dead.
Children, listen, lift your eyes,
by God’s breath, dry bones rise.

[VERSE 2]

Ezekiel’s mission was heavy and clear,
warn the people, make truth near.
A watchman standing on the wall,
if danger comes, he sounds the call.

He spoke to leaders who fed themselves,
shepherds stacking their private shelves.
They ignored the weak, forgot the lost,
and made the poor pay empire’s cost.

He saw idols inside sacred rooms,
hidden sins like spiritual fumes.
God’s glory leaving the temple gate,
because worship had become too fake.

That still speaks now when the stage looks bright,
but the heart stays cold beneath the light.
When leaders chase numbers, money and name,
while wounded children sit in shame.

The prophet says, “Watch what you love,
not just the songs you lift above.”
God is not fooled by polished art,
He searches rooms inside the heart.

[CHOIR COUNTER]

Watchman, speak.
Children, hear.
God sees hidden things
and draws us near.

[HOOK]

Dry bones rise, hear the Word of the Lord,
hope is not dead when God speaks forward.
Breath of the Spirit, come alive,
what looked buried can still arise.

New heart, new spirit, stone made flesh,
God brings life where dreams looked dead.
Children, listen, lift your eyes,
by God’s breath, dry bones rise.

[VERSE 3]

Then God took him to a valley wide,
bones on bones, all hope had died.
“Son of man, can these bones live?”
“Lord, You know what You can give.”

“Prophesy,” God said, “to the bones laid low,
tell them My breath will make them grow.”
So Ezekiel spoke what the Lord had said,
and rattling started among the dead.

Bone met bone in a thunderous sound,
sinews and flesh came up from the ground.
But bodies stood with no breath inside,
until God’s Spirit began to ride.

“Come from the four winds, breath, now breathe,”
life moved deep where death had seized.
A vast army stood beneath the skies,
proof that God can make dead hope rise.

Gen Alpha, some days hope feels slain,
climate fears, wars, grief and pain.
Feeds can make the future look gone,
but God still breathes resurrection dawn.

[BRIDGE]

Stone heart out.
Soft heart in.

Dead hope out.
New life begins.

False shepherds fall.
Good Shepherd comes.

Dry bones hear.
God’s breath runs.

Exile is not the end.
Judgement is not the end.
The grave is not the end.
God speaks life again.

[VERSE 4]

Ezekiel saw a promise bright,
God would wash and make hearts right.
“I will give you a heart made new,
put My Spirit inside of you.”

Not just rules on the outside wall,
but inward grace when sinners call.
Stone hearts softened by holy breath,
God bringing life from the dust of death.

And Ezekiel points to Jesus clear,
Son of Man who drew near.
Jesus called Himself that Name,
walking through sorrow, healing shame.

He is the true Shepherd Israel needed,
the One who came where leaders cheated.
He found the lost, healed the torn,
then wore the crown of curse and thorn.

On the Cross, hope looked dead,
darkness hanging above His head.
But on the third day, death heard the cry,
and the Son of Man rose, never to die.

[FINAL HOOK]

Dry bones rise, hear the Word of the Lord,
hope is not dead when God speaks forward.
Breath of the Spirit, come alive,
what looked buried can still arise.

New heart, new spirit, stone made flesh,
God brings life where dreams looked dead.
Children, listen, lift your eyes,
by God’s breath, dry bones rise.

[OUTRO]

Ezekiel was in exile.

But God’s glory came there.

He was a priest without a temple.
But Heaven opened by the river.

He saw dry bones.
God saw an army.

He saw judgement.
God promised a new heart.

And Jesus is the Son of Man,
the true Shepherd,
the resurrection hope.

Dry bones, hear the Word of the Lord.
