[INTRO]

Daniel was taken from home.

New city.
New language.
New lessons.
New pressure.
New name.

Babylon tried to rename him.

But God still knew who he was.

[VERSE 1]

Daniel was young when the empire came,
Jerusalem burned under Babylon’s name.
Temple gold taken, families torn,
children marched out from the land where born.

Babylon said, “We’ll teach you our ways,
new books, new food, new songs, new praise.
Forget your city, forget your God,
learn to walk where our idols trod.”

They gave him a name that was not his own,
tried to plant Babylon deep in his bones.
But Daniel knew beneath royal clothes,
identity lives where covenant grows.

Gen Alpha, listen, the pressure is real,
systems still try to rename what you feel.
“Be what we say, buy what we sell,
follow the feed, let your old roots fell.”

But you are not data, not trend, not brand,
not what the algorithm puts in your hand.
God knows your name when the world shifts tone,
He can keep you faithful far from home.

[HOOK]

No new name can steal my soul,
God knows me and makes me whole.
Babylon loud, but the Lord stays true,
Daniel stood, and so can you.

Pray when watched, stand when small,
God is faithful over all.
In the den, in the flame,
He still knows His children’s name.

[VERSE 2]

Daniel chose wisdom with a gentle spine,
didn’t shout proud, didn’t cross the line.
He asked for vegetables, water and grace,
faithful in diet, heart and place.

Not rebellion for clout, not drama for fame,
quiet conviction in the Lord’s great Name.
Ten days passed and the truth was shown,
God gave strength where faith had grown.

Then dreams came dark to Nebuchadnezzar’s mind,
wise men trembled with no answer to find.
Daniel prayed with his friends that night,
God gave secrets and mercy-light.

He told the king what no one knew,
not “I am special,” but “God shows truth.”
Wisdom came from Heaven above,
not ego, platform, pride or shove.

Children, learn the Daniel way:
excellence with humility every day.
Study hard, pray deep, stay clear,
God can use you in places of fear.

[CHOIR COUNTER]

God gives wisdom.
God gives grace.
God remembers
every place.

[HOOK]

No new name can steal my soul,
God knows me and makes me whole.
Babylon loud, but the Lord stays true,
Daniel stood, and so can you.

Pray when watched, stand when small,
God is faithful over all.
In the den, in the flame,
He still knows His children’s name.

[VERSE 3]

Then came a law with a jealous design,
“Pray to the king or cross the line.”
Daniel knew, but he opened the window still,
toward Jerusalem over empire’s will.

Three times a day, no secret shame,
knees to the Lord, calling His Name.
Not performative, not for applause,
faithful prayer above human laws.

They threw him down where the lions waited,
hungry mouths in the darkness gated.
But God sent an angel into the den,
closed up jaws and brought dawn again.

The king ran early with a trembling cry,
“Daniel, did your God keep you alive?”
Daniel answered from the stone-cold floor,
“My God sent His angel and shut the roar.”

Gen Alpha, when pressure has teeth,
when fear stands near and steals your peace,
remember this when the night feels wild:
God can guard His praying child.

[BRIDGE]

Babylon says, “Bow.”
Daniel says, “Pray.”

Babylon says, “Blend.”
Daniel says, “Stay.”

Babylon says, “New name.”
God says, “Mine.”

Babylon says, “Fear.”
God says, “Shine.”

Not loud pride.
Not reckless show.
Quiet faith
where the rivers flow.

[VERSE 4]

Daniel points us forward too,
past lion dens and kingdoms blue.
He saw the Son of Man draw near,
a kingdom coming that will not disappear.

Jesus is the true faithful One,
obedient Son beneath the sun.
He stood before rulers, falsely tried,
cast into death and crucified.

Daniel came out when the lions slept,
Jesus rose where death had kept.
Stone rolled back and the morning shone,
Kingdom of Christ over every throne.

So children, live with wisdom clear,
do not let Babylon own your ear.
Use your learning, guard your heart,
pray before the day can start.

You can live in the city without bowing low,
you can learn their language and still say no.
Faith is not fragile when rooted deep,
God guards His children while they sleep.

[FINAL HOOK]

No new name can steal my soul,
God knows me and makes me whole.
Babylon loud, but the Lord stays true,
Daniel stood, and so can you.

Pray when watched, stand when small,
God is faithful over all.
In the den, in the flame,
He still knows His children’s name.

[OUTRO]

Daniel was taken to Babylon.

But Babylon did not own him.

They changed his place.
They changed his lessons.
They changed his name.

But they could not change his God.

Pray with courage.
Learn with wisdom.
Stand with humility.

God knows your name.
