[INTRO]

Before David wore a crown,
he watched sheep.

Before he faced a giant,
he fought fear in hidden fields.

No armour.
No sword.
No royal spotlight.

Just faith, a sling,
and five smooth stones.

[VERSE 1]

David was young in the Bethlehem hills,
shepherd boy watching where the night grows still.
No palace applause, no soldier’s name,
just sheep, stars, songs and flame.

He learned God’s care in the quiet place,
lion came close and he stood by grace.
Bear came strong, but the Lord stood stronger,
hidden faith was growing longer.

Gen Alpha, hear it, the secret place matters,
where no one claps and no screen flatters.
God trains hearts where people don’t see,
before the public victory.

Samuel had come with oil in hand,
looking for kings in Jesse’s land.
Brothers looked tall, but God looked within,
the Lord sees the heart under hair and skin.

David was called from the fields outside,
small in the room, but chosen inside.
Oil came down, promise took root,
but he went back to shepherding fruit.

[HOOK]

Five smooth stones and a faithful heart,
God can use what the proud discard.
Giant stands tall, but the Lord stands higher,
faith burns bright like holy fire.

Not by sword, not by fame,
David came in the Lord’s great Name.
Children, remember when fear feels tall:
God is greater than giants all.

[VERSE 2]

Goliath stood in the valley loud,
armour like bronze and a voice so proud.
Morning and evening, forty days,
fear walked heavy through Israel’s gaze.

Soldiers trembled, Saul stood still,
giant words rolled over the hill.
But David heard with a different ear,
not just a threat, but a challenge to fear.

He asked, “Who is this speaking shame,
against the armies of the Lord’s own Name?”
His brothers mocked him, “Go back to sheep,”
but faith had roots that ran too deep.

Gen Alpha, some giants shout online,
comparison, pressure, fear in the mind.
Some giants say, “You’re not enough,”
some giants dress as cool and tough.

But noise is not truth, size is not king,
the Lord can strengthen the small-looking thing.
Don’t borrow Saul’s armour to prove you’re brave,
wear the faith God already gave.

[CHOIR COUNTER]

The Lord sees the heart.
The Lord hears the cry.
Giants look tall,
but God is Most High.

[VERSE 3]

Saul gave armour, helmet and blade,
David tried walking but the weight misplayed.
“I cannot go in these,” he said,
faith does not need a costume thread.

He picked five stones from the water’s flow,
smooth little witnesses from streams below.
Sling in hand, no polished shield,
he ran by faith across the field.

Goliath laughed at the shepherd boy,
thought he could crush him like a toy.
But David said, “You come with spear,
I come in the Name that Heaven hears.”

One stone flew through the valley light,
pride fell down in the watching sight.
The giant dropped, the armies cried,
God had turned the battle tide.

But the story is not “trust yourself,”
not “main character, chase the shelf.”
David’s courage was not ego flame,
it was confidence in the Lord’s own Name.

[BRIDGE]

The world says, “Be bigger.”
God says, “Be faithful.”

The world says, “Look stronger.”
God says, “Be truthful.”

The world says, “Wear armour.”
God says, “Trust Me.”

The world says, “Fear giants.”
God says, “Watch and see.”

[VERSE 4]

David points beyond his sling,
past shepherd songs and future king.
Another Shepherd came from his line,
Jesus Christ in appointed time.

He faced a giant darker than Gath,
sin and death with a final wrath.
No stone in hand, no borrowed blade,
He gave Himself and the price was paid.

The Cross looked weak to the empire’s eye,
but victory rose when the grave ran dry.
David struck one giant down,
Jesus crushed death and took the crown.

So children, when the valley calls,
when fear writes shadows on your walls,
remember the Shepherd who knows your name,
and stand in faith, not pride or fame.

Use your gifts, but stay low too,
let mercy shape the things you do.
Giants fall, but hearts must bow,
Jesus is King here and now.

[FINAL HOOK]

Five smooth stones and a faithful heart,
God can use what the proud discard.
Giant stands tall, but the Lord stands higher,
faith burns bright like holy fire.

Not by sword, not by fame,
David came in the Lord’s great Name.
Children, remember when fear feels tall:
God is greater than giants all.

[OUTRO]

David was not brave because he was big.

He was brave because he trusted God.

The field prepared him.
The sheep taught him.
The stones were small.
The Lord was mighty.

And Jesus, the Son of David,
is the true Shepherd-King.
