Track Name DAYS OF NOAH

TITLE: DAYS OF NOAH
ARTIST: THE NAZARENE

[INTRO]

Eating.

Drinking.

Buying.

Building.

Laughing.

Scrolling.

Then the rain came.

Jesus said:

As in the days of Noah.

[VERSE 1]

Jesus said watch how the old days moved,
Noah kept building while the world stayed smooth.
Hammer hit wood with a warning sound,
but the crowd walked past on comfortable ground.

They ate, they drank, they married, they planned,
built little kingdoms with dust in hand.
Normal felt safe, routine felt strong,
till judgement arrived and the door shut long.

That is the terror of ordinary sleep,
when the flood is near but the dreams run deep.
Not every warning comes dressed in flame,
sometimes it knocks while you play the same game.

Now bring that word to the screen-lit street,
where the whole world scrolls to a restless beat.
War in the feed, famine in lands,
markets keep shaking in human hands.

Still we buy, still we flex, still we chase,
still we build brands with a borrowed face.
Still we say, “Later, not today,”
while the storm clouds gather in a hidden way.

The beat drops loud and the fair stays bright,
Vanity sells us another night.
But Noah’s hammer still speaks through rain:
wake up, sinner, before the floodplain.

[HOOK]

Days of Noah,
sky still blue.
Crowd kept laughing,
judgement came true.

Only Jesus saves.
Only Jesus saves.
Water cannot cleanse you,
warnings cannot raise.

Run to the Ark,
while mercy stays near.
The Son of Man is coming,
wake up and hear.

[VERSE 2]

This is not about panic online,
not date-setting with a frightened sign.
Jesus gave warning to open eyes,
not feed the ego of end-time lies.

The point is sleep when the truth is clear,
normal life while the Judge draws near.
Children in rubble, nations in pain,
yet pleasure keeps dancing in judgement rain.

Tech says, “Build,” and the towers climb.
Markets say, “Trust us,” then charge for time.
Entertainment says, “Laugh, don’t feel,”
while the soul stays chained to a spinning wheel.

But the flood outside is not the root,
there is deeper rot in forbidden fruit.
We have all broken the holy law,
all have stains that the Lord once saw.

Lied with the tongue, lusted with eyes,
envied our neighbour, polished our lies.
Loved created things more than the King,
called sin freedom, made idols sing.

The ark was wood, but salvation was God,
mercy designed before judgement trod.
Noah entered because grace had called,
while the world stayed proud till the waters crawled.

Listener, do not trust the crowd,
crowds can laugh while the clouds grow loud.
If Christ is calling, do not delay.
The open door is mercy today.

[HOOK]

Days of Noah,
sky still blue.
Crowd kept laughing,
judgement came true.

Only Jesus saves.
Only Jesus saves.
Trends cannot cleanse you,
systems cannot raise.

Run to the Ark,
while mercy stays near.
The Son of Man is coming,
wake up and hear.

[BRIDGE]

The warning is mercy.

The door is still open.

The rain is not here yet.

Come in.

Come now.

Come to Christ.

[VERSE 3]

Jesus is more than a warning voice,
He is the Ark and the saving choice.
Not wood and pitch on a mountain side,
but flesh and blood where sinners hide.

He came to seek what sin had drowned,
called the lost from sinking ground.
He healed the sick, forgave the stained,
preached the Kingdom, broke shame’s chain.

Then came the flood no sinner could bear,
wrath and justice in the darkened air.
At the Cross, the waters rose,
judgement fell where mercy chose.

Nails in His hands, thorn on His head,
the Lord of life among the dead.
Blood ran down like a crimson door,
atonement opened forevermore.

They laid Him low in the sealed-up stone,
but death could not keep the Ark alone.
Third day morning, the grave broke wide,
Christ rose bodily, glorified.

Now the Son of Man will come in cloud,
not as a brand, not to please the crowd.
Kingdom thunder, holy flame,
every knee bowing at Jesus’ Name.

So come from the party, come from the fair,
come from the screen and the toxic air.
Come from the pride that says, “I’m fine,”
come from the sleep of borrowed time.

Repent and believe, let idols fall.
Christ is the Door, the Ark, the all.
The world may laugh while the sky stays clear,
but mercy is calling while you can hear.

[FINAL HOOK]

Days of Noah,
sky still blue.
Crowd kept laughing,
judgement came true.

Only Jesus saves.
Only Jesus saves.
His blood can cleanse you,
His voice can raise.

Run to the Ark,
while mercy stays near.
The Son of Man is coming,
wake up and hear.

[OUTRO]

Hammer on wood.

Clouds on the edge.

Door still open.

Mercy still speaks.

As in the days of Noah.

Jesus is Lord.
