PLATO’S CAVE GOT WI-FI

TITLE: PLATO’S CAVE GOT WI-FI
[INTRO]
They used to watch shadows
on a cave wall.
Now the cave fits
in your hand.
Plato’s cave got Wi-Fi.
But Jesus said:
I am the Light.
[VERSE 1]
Plato saw prisoners chained in a cave,
watching dark shapes while the firelight waved.
Shadows moved, and the crowd called real,
never turned round to see what they feel.
Now the cave got a touchscreen glow,
algorithmic shadows in a pocket show.
Feed keeps feeding what the flesh will chase,
while the soul sits chained with a lit-up face.
Swipe for the image, scroll for the dream,
curated life on a polished screen.
Everybody posting a filtered throne,
lonely in rooms but never alone.
News gets shaped like fear in motion,
lust gets dressed as self-devotion.
Celebs get crafted by teams unseen,
then the crowd bows down to the shadow-machine.
Plato’s cave with a fibre line,
shadows got sharper, chains got fine.
Ultra-HD, same old night,
eyes wide open but the soul lacks sight.
That’s not progress if the heart stays blind,
just better pictures for a captive mind.
The problem is deeper than what you view:
it’s false desire deciding what’s true.
[HOOK]
Plato’s cave got Wi-Fi now,
shadows on the wall got the whole world bowed.
Only Jesus saves.
Only Jesus saves.
Screens cannot cleanse you,
shadows cannot raise.
Turn to the Light,
come out of the night.
Christ breaks chains
and gives true sight.
[VERSE 2]
Eden was first where the eye got trained,
fruit looked good while the heart got stained.
Serpent said, “See it another way,”
and false sight led mankind astray.
The lust of the eyes is a crooked lens,
turns God’s good world into rival ends.
Beauty becomes a throne to claim,
knowledge becomes a godlike game.
The eye never full, said Solomon’s pen,
sees ten thousand and wants again.
Scroll all night till the mind runs dry,
still the thirst sits deep in the eye.
AI can answer, but cannot atone.
Finance can count, but cannot enthrone
the soul before God with a clean white robe.
Data can map, but not cleanse the globe.
Movies make worlds, games make skins,
avatars mask the ache within.
But when death calls and the books unfold,
your profile cannot ransom your soul.
We have all loved shadows more than the King,
all bowed low to a lesser thing.
Lied, lusted, envied, performed,
kept sin warm while the conscience warned.
You do not need one more projection.
You need mercy, truth, resurrection.
Not just escape from the screen-lit dome,
but the Father calling the lost child home.
[HOOK]
Plato’s cave got Wi-Fi now,
shadows on the wall got the whole world bowed.
Only Jesus saves.
Only Jesus saves.
Knowledge cannot cleanse you,
data cannot raise.
Turn to the Light,
come out of the night.
Christ breaks chains
and gives true sight.
[BRIDGE]
The screen is not the sun.
The feed is not the truth.
The crowd is not the judge.
The shadow is not the substance.
Jesus is the Light
of the world.
[VERSE 3]
Christ stepped into the cave of men,
Light in flesh where the dark began.
He opened blind eyes on dusty roads,
showed that the soul needs more than codes.
He spoke truth to the proud and poor,
called Himself the Way and Door.
Not one more guru with borrowed flame,
but I AM wrapped in a human frame.
He healed false sight, exposed false ways,
tore through respectable shadow plays.
Then walked to the Cross where the darkness fell,
to rescue sinners from death and hell.
At the Cross, all shadows met the Light,
all sin exposed in the noon turned night.
Blood for the blind, blood for the chained,
blood for the souls the cave had trained.
They buried Him once in the stone-cold ground,
but the Light of the world cannot stay bound.
Third day morning, the grave broke wide,
Christ rose bodily, glorified.
Now truth is not an abstract spark,
truth is the King who entered the dark.
He does not just show you the cave you’re in,
He breaks the chains and forgives your sin.
So turn from the wall, let the shadows fall,
come to the Saviour who sees it all.
Repent and believe, receive new sight,
walk as a child of resurrection light.
No more cave-life, no more chains,
no more worship of pixel flames.
The Son sets free, the night is done.
True wisdom begins in the fear of the One.
[FINAL HOOK]
Plato’s cave got Wi-Fi now,
shadows on the wall got the whole world bowed.
Only Jesus saves.
Only Jesus saves.
His blood can cleanse you,
His voice can raise.
Turn to the Light,
come out of the night.
Christ breaks chains
and gives true sight.
[OUTRO]
Cave wall.
Screen glow.
False sight.
Lost soul.
But Christ is risen.
Turn around.
Walk in the Light.
Jesus is Lord.
