THE EYE IS NEVER FULL

TITLE: THE EYE IS NEVER FULL
[INTRO]
The eye is never full.
The feed is never done.
Eden trained the gaze.
Vanity Fair sells the hunger.
But Jesus opens eyes.
[VERSE 1]
Solomon spoke with a blade in his pen,
eye sees plenty, then wants again.
Ear hears songs but is never complete,
desire keeps marching on restless feet.
Scroll all night, still thirsty by dawn,
ten thousand images, hunger not gone.
The screen keeps feeding the gaze like fire,
but more fuel never cures desire.
Eden began where the eye got schooled,
fruit looked wise while the heart got fooled.
She saw it was good for making one wise,
false light entered through human eyes.
That was not just a fruit in a tree,
that was vision bent from reality.
God’s good world became a store,
created things became “give me more.”
Now the same old lesson runs HD,
Vanity Fair with a shopping feed.
Beauty gets filtered, bodies get ranked,
envy gets trained while the soul goes blank.
The eye says “mine,” then “more,” then “now,”
turns every blessing to a thing to bow.
What starts as seeing becomes a throne,
lust builds temples in skin and bone.
[HOOK]
The eye is never full,
the feed is never done.
You drink from the screen
but still thirst under the sun.
Only Jesus saves.
Only Jesus saves.
Sight cannot cleanse you,
looking cannot raise.
Open my eyes, Lord,
pull me from night.
Christ is the truth,
the Life and the Light.
[VERSE 2]
Lust of the eyes is not only skin,
it is wrong sight letting idols in.
House that you envy, car that you chase,
body comparison, lifestyle face.
Food on a plate but you want their meal,
life in your hand but their reel feels real.
Money in motion, markets in green,
golden false futures on every screen.
Fashion says, “Look.”
Luxury says, “Need.”
Algorithm says, “Feed, feed, feed.”
Adverts baptise the hunger in style,
then sell you peace for a little while.
But the eye cannot be lord of the soul,
it has no wisdom, it has no control.
It only gathers and sends the flame,
while the heart decides what deserves the name.
We have all broken the holy command,
reached with our eyes before our hand.
Coveted, lusted, envied, lied,
wanted the crown with the King denied.
This is not solved by deleting an app,
if the old heart still maps the trap.
You need more than a detox plan,
you need new life in the inner man.
[HOOK]
The eye is never full,
the feed is never done.
You drink from the screen
but still thirst under the sun.
Only Jesus saves.
Only Jesus saves.
Beauty cannot cleanse you,
envy cannot raise.
Open my eyes, Lord,
pull me from night.
Christ is the truth,
the Life and the Light.
[BRIDGE]
False sight says:
Take.
Compare.
Consume.
Become.
True wisdom says:
Behold the Lord.
Fear God.
Follow Christ.
Live.
[VERSE 3]
Jesus met blind men beside the road,
spoke one word and the darkness broke.
But every healing was more than eyes,
it preached the cure for the soul’s disguise.
He opened sight to expose the lie,
that man can see while ignoring Most High.
He is the Light that the darkness fears,
the Word made flesh in our wounded years.
Then He walked where false seeing raged,
crowds saw weakness, Heaven saw grace.
They saw a criminal lifted high,
but God saw ransom beneath dark sky.
At the Cross, the Light was slain,
blood ran deep for our lust and shame.
Every covetous look, every hidden stain,
laid on Christ in judgement rain.
They buried Him once in a borrowed stone,
but Light cannot be left alone.
Third day morning, death lost sight,
Jesus rose in resurrection light.
Now He does not just block the view,
He gives a heart that can see what’s true.
Beauty becomes gift, not god or chain.
Creation becomes praise, not hunger’s flame.
So turn from the feed that trains your thirst,
turn from the gaze that puts self first.
Repent and believe, let idols fall,
Christ is the Light and Lord of all.
The eye is restless till the soul is home,
till the heart bows down before the throne.
The world cannot fill what God designed,
but Jesus gives sight to the truly blind.
[FINAL HOOK]
The eye is never full,
the feed is never done.
You drink from the screen
but still thirst under the sun.
Only Jesus saves.
Only Jesus saves.
His blood can cleanse you,
His voice can raise.
Open my eyes, Lord,
pull me from night.
Christ is the truth,
the Life and the Light.
[OUTRO]
The fruit looked good.
The feed looks bright.
The eye keeps asking.
The soul keeps dying.
But Christ is risen.
Behold the King.
Jesus is Lord.
