THE GRAVE COULD NOT EAT HIM

THE GRAVE COULD NOT EAT HIM
[INTRO]
You named your escape after war.
Red planet.
Red dust.
Same old heart.
[VERSE]
You named your escape after the god of war, then asked why peace never opened the door, red dust waiting for a brand-new grave, Mars got no blood that can pardon or save, you say the future is up in the stars, but Adam’s rebellion can travel to Mars, put sin in a suit with a helmet and flame, it still lands guilty with a different terrain,
you cannot rocket away from the grave, cannot launch from the judgement your conscience gave, cannot terraform guilt, cannot colonise peace, cannot make death sign a Martian lease, because the problem was never the planet alone, it was the throne in the heart made of stone, and if Babylon flies with a NASA badge bright, it is still Babel climbing away from the Light,
Obadiah saw the lofty ones boasting, nesting like eagles where star-fields are floating, “Though you mount high, though your home sits in heaven, from there I will bring you down,” says the Lord in the lesson, altitude never became holiness, orbit never washed out bloodguilt and stress, you can hide in the rocks of a red mountain cave, but the eyes of the Judge still know your name,
cryosleep coffin with a prettier lid, hundred-year nap where the fear stays hid, frozen like hope in a metal womb, sleeping through time like a rich man’s tomb, wake on a planet with no mother tongue, no neighbour, no harvest, no church bells rung, no local mercy when supplies run thin, no river of blood that can wash away sin,
what is the difference, tell me clean, between a cryo-bed dream and a graveyard scene, if both are bodies lying still in the dark, waiting for power to restart the spark, except one wakes only to die again, while the saints rise never to lose breath then, because resurrection is not delayed decay, it is Christ commanding death to obey,
gravity, grave, grief, groan, four cold words with a downward tone, everything heavy gets pulled to the centre, every proud tower meets its own winter, light bends low where the mass gets deep, bodies go down where the dust keeps sleep, and you study the pull with equations and awe, but still cannot climb past God’s moral law,
Moses stood where Pharaoh kept gods, ten bright idols with ceremonial rods, Nile ran red against river pride, frogs swarmed thick where Heqet lied, dust became gnats when the ground obeyed, flies filled palaces where Egypt prayed, livestock fell under Apis shame, boils broke skin where healers lost name,
hail struck sky-gods, locusts ate grain, darkness slapped Ra with a midnight chain, firstborn cried where Pharaoh claimed breath, and Egypt learned the Lord rules death, not one god stood, not one crown saved, not one temple argued, not one idol behaved, the Lord walked through with judgement and blood, and false gods sank in their painted mud,
yet after the Red Sea split like a wound, after the horse and rider sank too soon, after manna fell and Sinai burned, after slaves were freed and the camp returned, Korah still said, “Why Moses, why you?” rebellion got holy with a counterfeit view, then the ground opened wide under Israel’s sky, and the earth ate men who refused to die to self,
so learn this before your rockets ignite, rescue rejected becomes judgement bright, if Moses was honoured when Egypt was broken, how much more Christ when the grave has spoken, if the earth swallowed rebels after sea-split grace, what remains for the soul that rejects Christ’s face, after blood was shed, after stone rolled wide, after death itself saw the Son and died,
the grave is the Pharaoh no scientist masters, the tomb is the empire behind all disasters, the undertaker gong in every nation, the border no passport can cross with persuasion, kings, kids, poets, billionaires, slaves, all receive summons from dust and graves, and every generation says, “Maybe not us,” while the soil keeps laughing with a mouth full of dust,
Mars cannot help when the heartbeat stops, Moon cannot answer when the coffin drops, code cannot plead when the books are read, cryo cannot save when the soul has fled, rockets go up, but the body goes down, stars keep shining while worms take crowns, and the lofty who nest above earthly pain still fall if Christ is not their gain,
but the earth met One it could not eat, the grave bit down and broke its teeth, stone mouth sealed, Roman guard near, hell thought silence had swallowed Him clear, but death was holding the Life that made breath, dust was carrying the Lord over death, and on the third day the ground had to yield, creation convulsed and the tomb was unsealed,
Jesus walked out with the keys in His hand, not cloned, not copied, not helped by man, not cryo-warmed, not data-restored, but bodily risen as death’s true Lord, scars still bright where the nails once stayed, side still preaching where the spear once laid, He did not postpone what all men fear, He broke the grave and made judgement clear,
so repent from the Mars dream sold as salvation, repent from the pride of a fleeing nation, repent from the Babel with rockets and chrome, repent from the thought you can outrun home, repent from the war-god future in red, repent while the blood of Christ is spread, repent while breath still warms your chest, repent before dust takes back the rest,
come to the Lamb who was slain and stands, come to the King with the scarred command, come to the One who made Pharaoh bow, come to the One who can save you now, come to the Christ whom the grave could not keep, the Shepherd who wakes His buried sheep, the Alpha, Omega, the final Door, the Lord who reigns when Mars is no more,
you named your escape after the god of war, but peace is a Person with scars you ignore, you aimed for the stars while the grave stood near, but Christ calls sinners while mercy is here, red dust, moon dust, earth dust fall, but the risen Son is Lord of all, and when the last trumpet tears the sky, the grave must give back everyone in Christ alive.
